Version - Jun 25, 2007
  • New: A HTTP Request Builder has been added to the IEWatch tools. - This powerful yet easy to use tool allows simulating and testing HTTP requests and analyzing the server response.
  • New: Re-issue Requests - This feature, available from the HTTP Log context menu, allows you to re-send any request that has been recorded in the HTTP Log.
  • New: When filtering or searching, the search text is automatically highlighted in the Response Content window.

  • New: You can save the HTTP response content (for example HTML, Flash or Image files) by selecting 'Save Selected Content File(s)' from the HTTP Log context menu.
  • New: The short cuts CTRL-A (select all) and CTRL-C (copy) now work on any list or text control in IEWatch. Additionally you can use the DEL key to remove items from the HTTP Log.
  • Changed: Increased the IEWatch response content cache.
  • Changed: When undocking IEWatch the window is now displayed in the front of the Internet Explorer window.
  • Fixed: Fixed bug with some external relative Style Sheets or Script not being displayed in HTML Analysis.

  • New: Script Debugging - Use the Immediate window to trace debug messages, evaluate variables or issue commands.

  • Changed: The Help file has been completely redesigned. We strongly recommend you to read the new help file which contains a lot of useful information on how to employ IEWatch.

  • Changed: The evaluation period has been extended from 21 days to 30 days.
  • Fixed: In some cases Ajax response content didn't display correctly. IEWatch now uses its own response content caching.

  • New: Added a scripting interface that allows you to integrate IEWatch with any testing framework that supports COM objects.
  • New: The application folder now contains the file 'ScriptingSamples.zip' with samples in the programming languages C#, JavaScript, VBScript, VB6 and VB.NET.
  • New: The IEWatch installation executable is now distributed with a digital code signature to ensure integrity and authenticity.

Version 4.0.2 - Aug 25, 2006
  • Changed: The file size limit of 500KB for saving HTTP logs in XML format has been removed
  • Fixed: POST data containing XML caused an error when saving HTTP logs in XML format.
  • Fixed: The response content of chunked encoded responses was occasionally inaccurate.
  • Fixed: The filter definitions were not always saved.

Version 4.0.1 - Jul 26, 2006
  • New: You can now view and save images in HTML Analysis mode. To view an image just double click the item in the image list.
  • Fixed: The installer now automatically downloads the gdiplus library is it is not available on the computer.
  • Fixed: On some machines the request and response header windows are covering the HTTP Log area after installation.
  • Fixed: The installer now asks the user to close all Internet Explorer windows if the IEWatch library is locked.

  • New: Comprehensive context help for all status codes and HTTP headers defined in RFC 2616. To view help on a HTTP header, select the entry in the list and press F1.
  • New: Navigate IEWatch by just using the keyboard. Most IEWatch functions are now available with accelerator keys. The Find window can be displayed with CTRL-F and pressing the enter-key in any list will show the default dialog.
  • New: Error codes returned from Internet Explorer are now displayed in the status column of the main list.
  • Fixed: Accuracy of HTTP request duration readings and the page load time displayed in the HTML Analysis Summary have been improved.

Version 2.1 - Feb 17, 2005
  • New: HTTP information can now be written into log files. The log files can be saved in XML (.xml), Comma Separated (.csv) or http text dump (.txt) format.

  • New: Sort-able list controls. All list controls are now sort-able by clicking on the list column headers.
  • New: Display of redirect headers. Redirect headers are displayed in the last column of the main list. A unique redirect-follow feature will automatically highlight the related redirect request when clicking on the redirect URL.
  • New: The HTML, JavaScript and Style Sheet content is displayed in a color coded pop-up window when double clicking an entry in the main request list.
  • New: Clear request list with every new page. Selecting this option in the Settings dialog will clear the main request list with every new page loaded.
