IE6 - I can't see the IEWatch icon in the toolbar after installation

If this is the case, try the following steps:
Make sure the Standard Buttons are enabled in your browser by clicking on Views
> Toolbars > Standard Buttons. Next, click on View > Toolbars > Customize...
In the dialog box, scroll through the list of "Available toolbar buttons". After
you find the IEWatch button, click on it and then on the "Add ->" button. Click
"Close".
The IEWatch button should now appear among the Standard Buttons whenever you launch
Internet Explorer.
If the IEWatch button still does not appear, reboot your computer.
I have problems under Windows Vista with saving log files
Windows Vista by default has set some stricter security setting that don't allow Internet Explorer Plug-Ins to write to the computer disk, except for a few 'contained' locations.
To allow WebReplay to write to the disk you can either:
- Change the Internet Explorer setting:
Click on Tools -> Internet Options menu, click the Security Tab and make sure to de-select 'Enable Protected Mode'
Or
- Change the User Account Control setting:
In Control Panel -> User Accounts turn User Account Control (UAC) off.
If you turn UAC off it is recommended to have a third party Virus Protection / Internet security software running.
IEWatch doesn't log the HTTP traffic
On some machines the request and response windows are covering the HTTP Log area after IEWatch installation.
To fix this issue you have two options:
- Open IEWatch and resize the IEWatch window by dragging the upper edge of the IEWatch plug-in window up (towards the browser area).
This will make the HTTP log window visible.
- Or you can undock the IEWatch window by using the UnPin/Pin button in the upper left corner of the IEWatch window.
After unpinning the IEWatch window make the window bigger so the HTTP Log area is visible.
After making the HTTP Log area visible, you can click on any request in the list to view the HTTP details in the HTTP request and response header windows (or Cookies etc.).
